Administrator - Lacy Behringer
Before becoming a mother of two sons, I was a teacher for 9 years. I've worked in both urban and rural settings, with my longest teaching experience being a 5 year Kindergarten position in the Whitewater School District. While there, I served on several district-level committees including the district budget team, the district leadership team, the district math curriculum team (K4-HS), as well as the hiring of several teachers and staff. I became a member of the FCCS School Board when my sons began school here. I then did some volunteer teaching of 7/8 History, Elementary Music and Elementary Gym classes. While serving on the board, I was invited to candidate for the position of Administrator/Office Manager. The 2017-2018 school year was my first year in this role. I have been welcomed to share my faith and testimony while here and feel blessed that our Lord and Savior have given me the opportunity to become the new administrator. My precious relationship with Jesus means everything to me and I pray for His guidance and strength as I work to bring Him glory through my role here at FCCS.
Teacher 5th-9th Grades - Sherry Thomas
This is my fifth year at Faith. I taught 2 years at Victory Christian High School in Neosho. But I taught for many years in Florida. I worked for a year at a Deaf-Blind school and 6 years in a classroom with Deaf children. I homeschooled our own children for 16 years, while occasionally subbing in the public schools. During this time, I did some interpreting for the Deaf as well - elementary age up through college. Then I taught classes at a couple of different Christian schools. The last 18 years, I have also been a trainer for Awana ministries in Florida and Wisconsin. I accepted the Lord as my Savior when I was 10 years old. When I was 16, I surrendered my life to the Lord and asked Him to use me in some way. I am glad the Lord is willing to use those who are willing to be used. My husband and I have worked in Awana for 30 years - our entire married life. Several ago we felt the Lord calling us to do it full-time. So after going through candidate school, we were asked to move to Wisconsin and take over leadership of this area. We have been serving as the Awana missionaries in Southern Wisconsin for the last 10 years. We help churches start Awana and minister to those who use the program.
