Administrator - Lacy Behringer
Before becoming a mother of two boys, I was a teacher for 9 years. I've worked in both urban and rural settings, with my longest teaching experience being a 5 year Kindergarten position in the Whitewater School District. While there, I served on several district-level committees including the district budget team, the district leadership team, the district math curriculum team (K4-HS), as well as the hiring of several teachers and staff. I became a member of the FCCS School Board when my sons began school here in 2014. I then did some volunteer teaching of 7/8 History, Elementary Music and Elementary Gym classes here at Faith. While serving on the board, I was invited to candidate for the position of Administrator/Office Manager. The 2017-2018 school year was my first year in this role. I have been welcomed to share my faith and testimony while here and feel blessed that our Lord and Savior has given me the opportunity to become the administrator. My precious relationship with Jesus means everything to me and I pray for His guidance and strength as I work to bring Him glory through my role here at FCCS. My husband Kevin and I live in Whitewater with our sons and dogs. We love to fish and go to UW-Whitewater Warhawk games!
Teacher (7th-10th Grades: Middle and High School) - Sherry Thomas
I accepted Christ as my Savior when I was a young girl, and when I was a teen I dedicated my life to the Lord and asked Him to use me in some way. I love that He always equips those for the task that He has called them to do.
This is my eleventh year at Faith. Before starting here, I taught for two years at a Christian high school in Neosho and for many years in Florida in a variety of settings. Through the years, I have also homeschooled my own four children, worked as a substitute teacher and an interpreter for the Deaf, and for the past 14 years, my husband and I have served as the Awana missionaries in Wisconsin. We help churches start Awana and we minister to those who use the program.
I consider it a privilege every day that I am able to teach here at FCCS. It is a joy to see students learn and grow. My goal is to bring glory to the Lord in the way that I fill this role (Co. 3:23).
Teacher (5th-6th Grades: Middle School) - Sandy Jones
My husband Tom and I have been married for 36+ years. We have three grown children, one daughter and two sons. I homeschooled my children through high school (that's a miracle, believe me!) and I have a degree from UW Milwaukee in Recreation Therapy. We have been leaders for the college-age young adults in Faith Community Church for 14 years. We've also been leaders for Cubbies (AWANA), middle school, and high school in our previous church. I love to play volleyball (and will until I am not having fun!) on a recreation women's team.
I also love to fill shoeboxes for Operation Christmas Child, and until Covid came along, I volunteered at two senior centers in Fort where residents helped decorate items for shoeboxes and also helped fill them. I've been to Lithuania on mission trips with our church's high schoolers where we joined the U.S. missionary at Discovery Camp, teaching Bible and English (mostly Bible).
Since my youngest son left for Marine boot camp in 2013, I have been substitute teaching in the Fort public schools. I am excited to join the teaching team here at Faith Community Christian School and hope to help students have fun learning and striving to reach their full potential. But most of all, I look forward to helping them learn how great our God is and grow in their faith in Jesus Christ!
Teacher (3rd-4th Grades: Elementary) - Sarah LaPaz
As a child, I attended Faith Community Christian School from Pre-K to 7th grade learning about God, His story, and being trained up to serve Him with all my heart. I knew there was something special about FCCS. When I was in 3rd grade, I felt that God was telling me to be a teacher and one day return to teach at this very school where I grew as a Christian. I went to the University of Northwestern-St. Paul (Minnesota) and graduated with my Elementary license K-6th grade with a minor in Special Education. After graduating, I married my husband Benjamin and started substituting in the Fort Atkinson District as well as teaching a reading course in Summer School. God called me to join FCCS in 2018 as the 2nd-4th grade teacher, and I look forward to teaching my 3rd year at FCCS, helping kids develop a relationship with God.
Teacher (2nd Grade: Elementary) - Jeanne Pibal
Greg and I married in 2003 and moved to Fort Atkinson so I could teach at Faith.
I was born again in college. God used the ministry of InterVarsity Christian Fellowship to bring me to a saving knowledge of Him.
I previously taught K-2nd grade at Faith from 2003-2010. I have also taught preschool, summer school in the public school for eight years, and worked as a student learning aide for 1st, 4th and 5th grade in the public school. I homeschooled our children the last two years, and was a Classical Conversations tutor for our homeschool group.
God brought us officially together as a family in Nov. 2014 when we adopted Carmen and Enrique. We fostered them for about a year and a half prior to the adoption.
We enjoy swimming and hiking as a family. I enjoy baking, music, playing games and getting together with other people. My husband is on the worship team and is currently serving as a deacon. Our children enjoy many different activities including sports and art.
Teacher (4K-1st Grades: Elementary) - Cally Bruchman
Since graduating from College in 1994, I have been teaching and working with children 6 weeks to 12 years in church settings as well as formal programs. The past few years, I have especially enjoyed working in multi-grade classrooms with children ages 4-8. I enjoy guiding children in their academics, social/emotional skills, and spiritual understanding. I praise God for allowing me to teach these young ones and I ask Him for His strength and wisdom every day. I have been blessed to watch children overcome obstacles, show empathy and compassion, direct their peers to Christ-like conversations, build their confidence, and enjoy learning! God has made each one of us unique with special talents and gifts. I desire to help children recognize these God given talents and encourage them to use their talents to bring glory to Him.
At the age of 5, I knew that I was a sinner and needed Jesus. I knelt on the kitchen floor with my mom and prayed asking Jesus to come into my life. Later, as a teenager, I was baptized, knowing that I was publically showing others that I was a follower of Jesus Christ. I continue to grow in my walk with the Lord and pray He will use me to serve Him. As a young teenager, I chose Psalm 116:1&2 as my life verses. “I love the LORD, because he hath heard my voice and my supplications. Because he hath inclined his ear unto me, therefore will I call upon him as long as I live.” In the spring of 2016, I became a widow after 17 years of marriage. God has continued to open doors and provide for me in ways that I would not have chosen or expected and through much prayer and waiting, I have learned to trust Him more.
In my spare time I enjoy being outdoors with my daughter (who attends FCCS), sewing, reading and researching new ideas to implement in the classroom.
